Bad Boon is a 2005 AQHA red roan gelding that is an own son of Royal Boonsmal. Scroll down to see the performance record of his dam and sire. Nice colt with tons of color and chrome out of a proven family! Bad Boon's sire, Royal Boonsmal an own son of the legendary sire Peptoboonsmal NCHA LTE $165,308.44, is an NCHA money earner of $20,000+ and still showing. He also has 28 AQHA points and NCHA COA. To add to that Royal Boonsmal was a finalist in the Oklahoma Early Bird Derby and Kansas Derby. Royal Boonsmal is also an AQHA top ten high point cutting horse and an AQHA World show qualifier in junior cutting. Bad Boon's dam, SF Color Me Bad has 21 AQHA points and AQHA ROM in Tie Down Roping and Reining. We had Bobby Lewis start this gelding for us. He rode him for about 45 days. After that, since he as been home, we have used him some on the ranch. We have roped and drug some calves off of him and gathered and sorted plenty of cattle on him. We keep him shod because that way he is handy for us to ride out in the pasture to do our ranch work where it is pretty rough country. This gelding has an awesome disposition and you can catch him anywhere, anytime. He has no buck and would probably make a great kid's horse, that is how gentle he is. (Bad Boon's barn name is "Buddy" because he is a "in your pocket" people loving horse.) Buddy stands about 14.3 and is just a 3 year old. I expect him to get pretty big! Buddy is willing, smart and a nice mover. There are lots of different directions to go with him such has heading and heeling, cutting, sorting, penning, working cow horse, reining, ranch horse....
