OAK QUICKORY
Oak Quickory, aka Bullit, is a 2004 AQHA bay gelding. He has had
a year
cutting training with John Ross when he was a 2 year old. Since
then, we have put him in roping training with world famous trainer and
multiple time World Champion, Bobby
Lewis. We really think a lot of Bullit and wanted him to be trained
by the best. This gelding is an outstanding head and heel horse!
Bobby really thinks a lot of Bullit and he says that he does
everything right. We can't keep them all in training, so we are
offering him for sale. Hopefully someone will go win some big ropin's on him! He is finished on both ends and is ready to haul.
Anyone can get along with this horse! Anywhere from beginner roper
to open high level roper. He also has the potential to be a great
team penning or barrel horse!! Bobby did a very
nice job training him!
There are no holes in him, he is quiet in the box and can really run!
Bobby says that he does everything right! There is nothing wrong with him and this gelding has style! He is
gentle, 100% sound, healthy and is a very big stopper. He is handy
and broke all over! Bullit is a pleasure to ride doing anything from
trail riding, to roping, to cutting, to gathering cattle, or whatever!
Gorgeous, great disposition, and perfectly built is a great description of
him!! He has a beautiful head and neck, good withers, bone and feet,
and a big long hip. Bullit has no scars or blemishes, but some
calves did chew part of his tail while he was in training. It is
just below his hocks right now, but growing back fast. Scroll down
to see lots of pics that I took of him roping both ends and I did get a
video. I have not yet changed the video to DVD, but will soon.
Then, I will make some copies of the video, and if you are interested in
him, I can send you some film and maybe even post it right here on his
webpage!! If you are interested in him and want to know more about
him than what I can tell you, I can hook you up with Bobby Lewis and he
can tell you more. Bobby said that he was so easy to train and would
love to have a barn full just like him. Bullit does not act chargy
and has no buck, rear, bite, kick, etc. He is gentle enough for just
about anyone to ride, but may be too broke for a first time rider, but
perfect for a beginner roper. Bullit is fit, tuned, and ready
to haul! He is also an easy keeper, current on all vaccines,
and de-worming. $15,000. SOLD!
Thanks Lou and David in Kansas!
