About Us at the Rocking JP Ranch The Rocking JP Ranch is located in central Texas near Dublin approximately 100 miles south of Fort Worth, TX. The ranch consists of about 1,500 acres and 4 lease pastures. Jerry Pettijohn is the proud owner of the Rocking JP and a hard worker that really enjoys horses. We are currently a small breeder with big hopes and dreams of becoming a very reputable breeder. Rocking JP raises ranch/rope horses, cutting horses, barrel horses. We also raise Brahman, F1, Super Baldy, Black Angus and Hereford registered show quality cattle. And the newest addition is Bucking Bulls. Cutting horse trainer, John Ross, is a good hand on our cutters and stands by his philosophies in the equine industry. JB and Dakota Kirchenschlager are our head and heel horse trainers. Sheila Zant is the one who has done so well training and selling our barrel horses. We have also recently put a colt in training with Bobby Lewis and are very excited about the colt's future in roping, reining, and working cow horse. Our ranch hand here at the Rocking JP is very versatile. Ronnie Horton is our barn manager and is cattle operation hand. He tends to many other ranch duties here at the Rocking JP. Ronnie enjoys roping and just being in the equine environment. Ashleigh Cole takes care of all of the paperwork, website, photography, naming the babies, marketing and much much more! Ashleigh is a cutter in her spare time and enjoys showing and trail riding. Every horse that is sold off this ranch will be represented exactly as we know them from our very own experience. Rocking JP Ranch offers a wide selection of quality horses from weanlings to finished horses. We have a good variety of every shape, size, color, and bloodline of horse. The ranch has horses at all levels and stages of cutting, roping, and barrel racing for sale. In addition we also have good solid ranch horses with experience in all phases of ranch work. We do not take outside horses solely because our hands are full here. Our rope/ranch horse sire is Blue Tripper Hancock, a 1997 AQHA blue roan stallion, he is an own grandson of Blue Valentine, and has the sweetest disposition. He is a head horse and an awesome one at that. We also have another gorgeous herd sire: Bucksbitaprecrption. Buck is a 1998 AQHA Perlino reining stallion. In addition to his good looks, he will guarantee color no matter what he is bred to!
